This research project was conducted to investigate the effect of different media amendments with various compositions on the growth and flowering of Antirrhinum majus L. The data for physiological parameters, analyzed statistically, showed a significant effect of media combinations compared to control values. Each treatment consisted of 10 plants and three replications. Various parameters of plant growth were studied under different potting media. The results regarding growth and flowering parameters showed a significant increase when a leaf mold potting medium combined with farmyard manure was used. The media containing farmyard manure with leaf mold, topsoil, and silt (T4) (1:0.5:0.5:1) and in combination with silt (T3), which had a higher pH, showed the least favorable results for these parameters. Media combinations of silt with topsoil and silt also showed positive results for plant vegetative and reproductive growth. Thus, it is suggested that leaf mold can be recommended as a standard potting medium for the growth of Antirrhinum majus L.
